FFXIV: Tencent or 9You? Which one to Join Hands in China?

Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square Enix, Inc., announced that they would target officially entering Chinese market in Square Enix's future plan and sign agreements with several Chinese MMO companies. This signal edified us that the latest title Final Fantasy XIV would stand a good chance to enter China market.

Currently, the proportion of distribution amount for Square Enix in Japan and overseas is 5:5. Yoichi Wada hopes the overseas proportion will be increased to 70%~80% after they officially enter China.

Square Enix had only one studio to publish its some in-house MMOs such as Concerto Gate and Fantasy Earth. In order to make good preparation for pendent upcoming Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix decided to cooperate with competitive Chinese companies. As revealed by insiders, Square Enix will hold out the olive branch to Tencent and 9You.

9U和腾讯看到mmosite的新闻以后激动了，打电话问mmosite的外联，外联说不知道怎么回事。
